Mineral Order 1266 (Opening)
The Commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has issued Mineral Order (MO) 1266 in accordance with Alaska Statute 38.05.185(a), reopening certain lands to mineral entry in the Murphy Dome area north of Fairbanks, Alaska. This mineral order reopens lands previously closed under Mineral Closing Order (MCO) 228 and MCO 67A03, and more specifically described in the Mineral Order and Commissioner’s Administrative Finding attached to this notice. This mineral order affects approximately 720 acres of state-owned lands.
Draft MO 1266 (Opening) was publicly noticed and available for review and comment from April 20, 2023, through May 22, 2023. The public comment period is closed. The Issue Response Summary is attached to this notice.
