NOTICE OF UTILITY TARIFF FILINGS
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility (AWWU) filed TA178-122 and TA180-126, revenue requirement studies for its water and wastewater utilities, respectively, based on a 2022 test year.
With TA178-122, AWWU requests an across-the-board rate increase of 6.3 percent to all water customers. A comparison of some of the current and proposed water rates is shown below.

With TA180-126, AWWU requests an across-the-board rate increase of 3 percent to all wastewater customers. A comparison of some of the current and proposed wastewater rates is shown below.

AWWU also requests to reset its Plant Replacement and Infrastructure Improvement Surcharge Mechanism (PRISM) surcharge to zero percent for both water and wastewater services. AWWU requests that the proposed rates take effect on February 12, 2024. Should the Commission determine to suspend TA178-122 and TA180-126, AWWU has requested interim rates, subject to refund, equal to the filed proposed rates.
