Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Spencer Pape dba Alaska's River Wild Adventures
PROJECT NAME: LAS 34818
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located in South Central Alaska, along the North Alaska Range, west of Sheep Creek and northeast of St. Johns Hill.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Section 25, Township 28 North, Range 25 West, Seward Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: A four-year permit for the continued maintenance and use of facilities in support of commercial guiding operations, consisting of: a 18' x 28' log cabin; a pit privy; a storage area for gasoline and diesel stored in 55 gallon drums; storage and use of: two Dodge Power Wagons (6,000lbs.), four Polaris six-wheelers (700lbs.), one M1078 truck (17,000lbs.), three Honda four-wheelers (400lbs.); and short-term portable camps.
PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: January 1, 2024
End: December 31, 2028

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
