The Division of Community and Regional Affairs (DCRA) is the lead agency for administering the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds on behalf of the state of Alaska.
HUD has allocated $38,493,000 to the State of Alaska to provide disaster relief, long-term recovery, and restoration of infrastructure, housing, and economic revitalization. Public Law 117-43, Public Law 117-180, and Public Law 117-328 allows CDBG-DR grantees receiving an award to access funding for program administrative costs. A total of $1,924,650 is available for this purpose.
DCRA is accepting Public Comments on the CDBG-DR 2022 Typhoon Merbok Administrative Action Plan from November 15, 2023 through November 30, 2023. The draft plan may be viewed on the DCRA web site at https://www.commerce.alaska.gov/web/dcra/GrantsSection/CDBG-DR-Merbok.aspx.
