SHARP-1 Application Cycle will close October 31^st.

Alaska SHARP-1 Program is a statewide support for service effort to improve access to care in primary care, dental health and mental health. SHARP-1 supports the recruitment, retention, and distribution of healthcare professionals statewide through student loan repayment incentives. 

SHARP-1 program is for licensed practitioners providing 80% direct patient care at a primary care setting located in a federally designated Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA).  Qualifying organizations consist of non-profit and government organizations.

During this open application period that started August 1^st, 2023, the SHARP program has been able to provide a federal dollar match to assist employers in providing SHARP Contracts to eligible healthcare providers.  The application cycle will remain open until October 31^st.
