Brief Description of Proposed Project:
The National Forest Foundation, in coordination with the Chugach National Forest, is proposing the design and construction of approximately 5 additional miles to the Turnagain Pass segment of the Iditarod National Historic Trail. This section would extend the existing Turnagain Pass Trail from its current northern terminus to a point along the Seward Highway at sea level. Proposed Timeline of the Project:
