NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
Anarraaq and Aktigiruq Exploration Program Reclamation Plan Approval (F20229339RPA) – Phase I, Amendment 2 – Proposed Laydown Yard on NANA Lands
The Alaska Department of Natural Resources has received a request to amend the Reclamation Plan for Anarraaq and Aktigiruq Exploration Program subject to Alaska Statute 27.19.
APPLICANT: Teck American Incorporated (TAI).
PROJECT NAME: Anarraaq and Aktigiruq Exploration Program, Phase I, Amendment 2
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: The proposed laydown yard will be located at the end of the existing Red Dog Mine Fish Weir Road and at the beginning of the Anaarraq and Aktigiruq Access Road located within the Lisburne Mining District.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: This amended plan is for activities upon private lands as listed:
- Section 18, Township 31 North, Range 18 West, Kateel River Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: TAI is requesting approval to amend the current Reclamation Plan to include the development of an additional laydown yard for the Anarraaq-Aktigiruq Exploration Program.
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: September 11, 2023
The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input to the amendment of the reclamation plan. Any person wishing to provide comments regarding this submission may do so electronically via our public comment site Comments here. If you are unable to submit comments via this site, you may submit them in writing to ensure consideration. After review and adjudication, we may issue an approval with stipulations for the reclamation. The reclamation may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
