FY 2024 Alaska Clean Water Fund and Alaska Drinking Water Fund State Project Priority List Update

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program is accepting comments on the updated State Fiscal Year 2024 (SFY24) Project Priority Lists for the Alaska Clean Water Fund and the Alaska Drinking Water Fund. Comments will be accepted through August 10, 2023.

To comment, visit the Department of Environmental Conservation's public comment portal: https://water.alaskadec.commentinput.com/?id=bJAtPRx274

The Project Priority Lists are components of the Intended Use Plans which demonstrate how Alaska intends to use funds made available through the federal Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). Available funds are used to issue low-interest loans for planning, designing, and constructing sanitation and drinking water infrastructure.

In addition to the annual base capitalization grants, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 (also referred to as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law or BIL) includes new appropriations for both the CWSRF and DWSRF. The SFY24 Intended Use Plans have been prepared to include required information for each of these appropriations. The titles of the Intended Use Plans prepared for SFY24 are listed below:
• Alaska Clean Water Fund Intended Use Plan Base and BIL General Supplemental
• Alaska Clean Water Fund Intended Use Plan Emerging Contaminants
• Alaska Drinking Water Fund Intended Use Plan Base and BIL General Supplemental
• Alaska Drinking Water Fund Intended Use Plan Emerging Contaminants
• Alaska Drinking Water Fund Intended Use Plan Lead Service Line Replacement

The updated Project Priority Lists associated with each of these Intended Use Plans are available on the SRF Program website, https://dec.alaska.gov/water/technical-assistance-and-financing/state-revolving-fund/intended-use-plans/, and upon request.
