Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has issued a decision regarding the issuance of an easement for the following:
APPLICANT: Nushagak Electric and Telepohone Cooperative, Inc.
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Dillingham, Aleknagik, Ekowk, and Levelock, Alaska.
AUTHORIZED ACTIVITIES: Issuance of a Public Utility Easement for the construction, operation, and maintenance of a fiberoptic broadband system, approximately 53 miles long and 30 feet wide, consisting of a below-grade fiber optic telecommunication cable and buried manholes at 20,000 foot intervals on State-owned, DMLW-managed lands.

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land and Water, Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Nushagak Electric and Telephone Cooperative, Inc.
PROJECT NAME: ADL 234005
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Dillingham, Aleknagik, Ekwok, and Levelock, Alaska.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: This application is for a public utility easement that is approximately 52.69 miles long and 30 feet wide, with an approximate area of about 191acres. The location of this easement is within Sections 8, 17, 20, 21, 27, 28, 34, 35, and 36 of Township 010 South, Range 048 West; Sections 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 30 of Township 010 South, Range 050 West, Seward Meridian; Sections 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 28, 29, and 30 of Township 010 South, Range 051 West, Seward Meridian; Sections 25, 26, 27, 28, 31, 32, and 33 of Township 010 South, Range 052 West, Seward Meridian; Sections 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 34, 35, and 36 of Township 010 South, Range 053 West, Seward Meridian; Sections 25, 33, 34, 35, and 36 of Township 010 South, Range 054 West, Seward Meridian; Sections 7, 18, 19, 28, 29, 30, and 33 of Township 011 South, Range 047 West, Seward Meridian; Sections 1 and 12 of Township 011 South, Range 048 West, Seward Meridian; Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of Township 012 South, Range 046 West, Seward Meridian; and Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Township 012 South, Range 047 West, Seward Meridian.
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: This application is for an easement for the construction, operation, and maintenance of a fiber optic broadband system which would consist of a below-grade fiber optic telecommunication cable and buried manholes at 20,000 foot intervals along the route. The easement, if approved, may differ from that described herein.
REQUESTED TERM: 100 years.
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: On or before June 22, 2023.
The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at Southcentral Regional Land Office at 550 West 7th Avenue Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501 on or before the date noted above.
