Dear Alaska Residents,
We are pleased to inform you that the State Plan for Senior Services: FFY2024-FFY2027 is being opened for a time of public comment.
This plan outlines the State of Alaska's strategies, goals, and objectives to enhance senior services and ensure the well-being of our valued senior citizens within our community.
The public comment period for the State Plan for Senior Services will begin on May 19th and continue until June 2nd. This period allows the community to review the proposed plan and provide their valuable feedback, suggestions, and concerns.
We invite all interested individuals and organizations to participate actively in this time of public comment. Your feedback will play a vital role in shaping the final version of the Alaska State Plan for Senior Services, which will have a significant impact on the lives of our seniors for the years to come.
Scroll to the bottom of this page and find the "Attachments" section. Then click on the link in order to download a copy of the current draft of the State Plan on Aging. Your comments can be submitted via email or postal mail using the instructions below.
Additionally, we will be holding a public meeting on May 31, 2023 at 2:00 pm AST. This meeting will provide an opportunity for the community to come together and share their thoughts, suggestions, and concerns in-person. The meeting will be held via Zoom at the following address:

We encourage all individuals and organizations with an interest in senior services to attend and actively participate in the discussion.
Please note that registration is NOT required for attending the public meeting, and all members of the public are welcome to join. We encourage you to prepare any comments or suggestions you may have beforehand to ensure a productive and informative session.
