Notice of Review of an Alaska Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (APDES) Proposed Final General Permit to Discharge to Waters of the United States

Following the close of a 30-day public notice period, ADEC has prepared an APDES proposed final general permit for Small Suction Dredge Placer Miners. Prior to making the final decision to issue the general permit, ADEC invites you to view the proposed final general permit and associated documents. Proposed Permit Coverage:
The permit authorizes discharges of wastewater from highbankers and suction dredges with intake diameters less than or equal to six inches and pump engine sizes less than or equal to 18 horsepower (hp) in fresh waters and 23 hp in marine waters. The permit provides statewide coverage for discharges to waters of the U.S., with certain limitations.

Determination:
The ADEC has determined to reissue the above listed general permit.
