Proposed Permit Coverage:
The proposed discharge is of comingled secondary treated domestic wastewater and treated seawater system effluent from TSMRI from Outfall 001A located at 58° 23’ 26” North latitude and 134° 46’ 34” West longitude. Discharge will occur at a maximum design flow rate of 2.0 million gallons per day to Favorite Channel. A mixing zone is not authorized for this discharge.

Tentative Determination: 
DEC has tentatively determined to issue the wastewater discharge permit. 

Public Comments: 
All comments should include the name, address, and telephone number of the commenter and a concise statement of comment on the permit condition(s) and the relevant facts upon which the comment is based. Comments of either support or concern that are directed at specific, cited permit requirements are appreciated. Mailed comments and requests must be postmarked on or before the expiration date of the public notice. Comments may be submitted online, via the DEC website: https://dec.alaska.gov/comment/

DEC will consider all substantive comments when making the final decision. Those who provided timely comments during the public review will be notified of the final decision and be provided with a summary for the basis of the final decision.

The APDES Draft Permit, Fact Sheet, permit application, and associated documents are available for public review at the DEC offices located in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Wasilla, and Soldotna.
