Purpose:

Contract for the use of a fully functional trawl vessel, for use by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) as living quarters and an operations base to assess Norton Sound Section (Area Q) red king crab stock abundance and perform other king crab research. This contract requires a vessel captain and minimum of three (3) additional crew. ADF&G will place up to four (4) department personnel aboard the vessel in Nome to sample trawl catches and collect oceanographic information. The charter is scheduled to last approximately twenty-four (24) days with approximately twelve (12) days of at-sea charter time will be spent in transit to/from the study area and the remaining twelve (12) days of charter service will be devoted to at-sea research.

Sealed bids must be submitted to the office from which they were issued and must be time and date stamped by the purchasing section prior to 2:00pn on 3/21/2023.
