ADA-08265 Proposal to Amend a State Airport Land Lease at Willow Airport

The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities proposes to change the authorized uses of Lease ADA-08265, Lot 5A, Block 300, consisting of approximately 26,812 square feet, at Willow Airport. Applicant: Phillip Stanger dba Willow Lake Aircraft. Annual rent: $2,547.14. Authorized uses: Aeronautical – Operation and maintenance of a hangar, aircraft maintenance and construction of aircraft trailers, tie-down of float equipped aircraft to the dock, tiedown of a skiff (boat) to retrieve flying object and debris (FOD) from the lake and assist with any aircraft in distress (for aeronautical support only, no recreational use), associated vehicle parking and aircraft tie-down parking, two 8 ft x 20 ft trailers for aeronautical parts storage only, all in support of lessee’s commercial aircraft operations.

This is an application filed under AS 02.15.090(c), which allows the Department to grant the proposed lease without competition. Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., February 10, 2023, after which the Department will determine whether or not to amend the lease. The Department’s decision will be sent only to persons who submit written comment or objection to the Department, at the address and by the date and time specified in this notice and include their return address.
