The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) invites you to an Open House for the Parks Highway Alternative Corridor Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study. Come and learn more about the PEL Study progress, preliminary corridor alternatives, and the alternative screening and evaluation process.

Due to sustained population growth in the Matanuska-Susitna (Mat-Su) Valley and particularly in Wasilla, congestion along the city’s main corridor, the Parks Highway, creates significant traffic delays during peak periods. As a result, the DOT&PF has identified the need for a future alternative highway corridor in the Wasilla area.
