Recreational Trails Program - Accepting Applications for FY2023!

The Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation (DPOR) is excited to announce that we are now accepting grant applications for the Recreational Trails Program (RTP) in FY2023!

The DPOR administers Alaska's Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) RTP grant. The DPOR offers this competitive, reimbursable, matching trail grant for maintaining public recreational trails and related facilities, and for safety and educational projects.

The RTP grant program provides up to 90% reimbursement of eligible costs for the entire project cost; grantees are responsible for 10% of the entire project cost.  Eligible applicants include non-profit, educational institutions, state government, local government, federal government and native corporations or tribal governments.

Public notices must be posted by September 30, 2022, and copies of notices with listings must be submitted to DPOR at Parks.RTPGrantApp@alaska.gov by this date.

Applications are due by October 31 , 2022.
