SFY2024 Alaska Community Transit Human Service Grants – Intent to Apply
Submission DATE EXTENDED to September 23, 2022
The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities, Alaska Community Transit (ACT) office
awards funds to eligible applicants through the Human Service Transportation Grants to provide transportation services that meet the special needs of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and Alaska Mental Health Trust beneficiaries for whom public transportation services are unavailable, insufficient, or inappropriate. Human Services Transportation Grants are funded by:
- FTA Section 5310, Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities
- Alaska Mental Health Trust (AMHT)
- Local Match (approved non-DOT Federal funds may be used)
The Intent to Apply period will be open August 18, 2022 thru September 23, 2022 for the SFY2024 Human Service Transportation Grant program. Notice to apply forms are located on the Alaska Community Transit website at: www.dot.alaska.gov/transit.
All agencies, including current subrecipients, must submit an Intent to Apply form to be eligible to apply for human service funding from the Alaska Community Transit office. The SFY2024 ACT grant applications period will be open October 2022 through December 2022.
- New agencies, and agencies that have not received funding in the past 5 years, please submit the Intent to Apply - New Applicants form.
- Current subrecipients please submit the Intent to Apply - Current Applicant form.
Completed forms must be submitted electronically to dot.alaska.transit@alaska.gov.
Intent to Apply submissions received by the deadline will be reviewed for eligibility and notified by email no later than September 30, 2022.
