Grid Resiliency Formula Grant Program Section 40101(D) Public Meetings and Comment Period

Public Meeting Notice

Notice is hereby given that AEA will host two public meetings on Alaska’s application for the annual allocation of $12.1 million made available through the United States Department of Energy’s (DOE) Grid Resilience Formula Grant Program to improve the resiliency of the electric grid infrastructure against disruptive events. Alaska is slated to receive $60 million for five years through the U.S. DOE grant program.

The Grid Resilience Formula Grant Program, funded through Section 40101(d) Formula Grants to States & Indian Tribes of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, will be administered through AEA, as designated by Governor Mike Dunleavy. Eligible entities that may apply for subawards under this Program include electric grid operators, electricity storage operators, electricity generators, and transmission owners or operators holding a Certificate of Public Necessity and Convenience, as issued by the Regulatory Commission of Alaska.

rid Resiliency Formula Grant Program Public Meetings:
All interested stakeholders are invited to attend one or both public meetings to be held at AEA’s office located at 813 W Northern Lights Blvd, Anchorage, AK 99503. Participants may join in-person or virtually.

Public Meeting #1: Wednesday, September 7, 2022, 1-2 p.m. (Alaska Time)
Public Meeting #2: Tuesday, September 13, 2022, 11 a.m.-Noon (Alaska Time)
