NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

RFP No. 25232017 – Vine Road Reconstruction: Knik-Goose Bay Rd to Hollywood Rd & HSIP: Vine Rd at Hollywood Rd Intersection Improvements Design Support Services

The Contractor shall provide professional design services for support on the two above-named projects. Vine Road Reconstruction will reconstruct 0.6 miles of existing two-lane rural road from Knik-Goose Bay Road to Hollywood Road to address the increase in traffic volumes. Scope includes reconstructing the roadbed, paving, roadside hardware, drainage improvements, intersection improvements, ADA improvements, and safety improvements as warranted. It may include associated 8 foot shoulders, turn lanes and pedestrian pathway. HSIP: Vine Road at Hollywood Road Intersection Improvements will construct a roundabout at the intersection to mitigate crashes. Services are anticipated to include: Roundabout Design Review, Hydrologic and Hydraulic Design, Landscaping Architecture, Plans, Specifications and Engineer’s Estimate, Assistance During Bidding, Assistance with Design Project Closeout, and Assistance During Construction.

A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package.  Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is approximately September 2022 to December 2028.  Cost of these professional services is between $100,000 and $150,000.

Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms.  Submittals must be received no later than August 31, 2022 prior to 4:00 p.m. prevailing time.
