Following the close of a 30-day public notice period, DEC has prepared an APDES proposed final individual permit for the Lowell Point Wastewater Treatment Facility.  Proposed Permit Coverage:
The proposed discharge of secondary treated domestic wastewater from the Lowell Point Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 60^º 04’ 54” north latitude and 149^º 26’20” west longitude will occur at a monthly average rate of 0.88 million gallons per day to Resurrection Bay. A five-year compliance schedule is proposed for Fecal Coliform Bacteria (FC). Until compliance with the final FC effluent limits have been met, an interim mixing zone is proposed for FC and ammonia. Five years after the effective date of the permit, or upon compliance with the final FC effluent limits, a final mixing zone is proposed for FC, enterococci bacteria, and ammonia.

 Determination:
The DEC has determined to reissue the above listed general permit.
