The Alaska Railroad is seeking a qualified contractor to provide the removal and disposal of the existing 360-foot 24-trestle timber bridge that crosses the Trail River at ARRC MP 25.7, fabrication of all new sub- and superstructure components to construct a new 360-foot 12-span steel beam bridge, install riprap armoring for erosion prevention, installation of new crossing at Lower Lake Trail Road (ARRC MP 25.46), and all the track work required to accommodate the raised elevation of the new structure crossing Trail River.
All work shall be completed by June 15, 2024. (updated Addendum 5)
Estimated Project Amount: $5,000,000 – $10,000,000
BIDS WILL BE RECEIVED UNTIL 3:00 PM LOCAL TIME ON September 13, 2022.
Site Visit: A non-mandatory site visit will be held on Friday, July 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Meet Location: Mine Road near the railroad crossing. (Also known as Crown Point Mine Road).
Pre-Bid Conference: A pre-bid conference will be held on July 29, 2022 at 9:00 AM local time via WebEx.
