ITB TITLE: DNA Extraction Kits

The Department of Fish and Game-Gene Conservation Laboratory (ADF&G-GCL) is soliciting bids to establish a contract with a vendor to provide DNA Extraction Kits to be used on Pacific and alleged Atlantic salmon liver, heart, muscle, scale epithelial cells, eyed-embryo, fin tissue; geoduck clam muscle and siphon epidermis tissue; sea cucumber muscle tissue; king crab hemolymph, muscle, hepatopancreas, eyed-embryo tissue; Northern Pacific kelp species tissues (and other issues with high amounts of PCR inhibitors); moose biopsy tissues; and bear hide, hair muscle, blood, saliva swabs and fecal swab sample.

Prior Experience:

In order for a bid to be considered responsive the bidder must meet these minimum prior experience requirements:

• Bidders must either be the direct manufacturer of the extraction technology or must be an authorized representative/reseller of the manufacture with three (3) years of experience prior to the bid close date.
• Bids must be accompanied by the names of three (3) laboratories that use the corresponding extraction technologies for high throughput SNP, microsatellite genotyping, and next generation (next gen) sequencing.

A bidder's failure to meet these minimum prior experience requirements will cause their bid to be considered non-responsive and rejected.
