The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) has made a preliminary decision to approve U.S. Ecology Alaska, LLC’s (USEA’s) application for Air Quality Control Minor Permit AQ0325MSS02 Revision 3 for the Moose Creek Facility stationary source.

Location: 425 Outer Springer Loop Road, Palmer, Alaska
Activity: USEA’s application is classified under 18 AAC 50.508(5) and 18 AAC 50.508(6).
Emissions: The proposed permit revises Condition 1.3 to extend the allowable time to perform source testing from five to 14 operating days. There is no change in emissions.
ADEC Preliminary Review: Based on review of the application, ADEC drafted a preliminary permit decision for this project under AS 46.14 and 18 AAC 50.

ADEC will consider all comments received and make any changes ADEC finds beneficial or necessary to assure compliance with 18 AAC 50 or State Law. ADEC will issue a final decision to issue or deny the permit after the close of the public comment period. Any person may request a public hearing and that hearing will be held if ADEC finds that good cause exists.
