The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land, and Water, Northern Region Office is adjudicating a public easement for the Department of Transportation for an access road.

LOCATION

The proposed public easement is located on the south side of the Elliot Highway near MP 99, on state land within:

            Fairbanks Meridian, Township 5 North, Range 8 West, Sections 6.                                               

PROPOSED PROJECT

The proposed public easement is for the construction of an access road to withdraw water out of a pond for highway maintenance, such as, dust control and road grading.  The proposed public easement is approximately 75 feet long and 50 wide, encompassing approximately 0.09 acres.  The public easement will be issued to Department of Transportation.

DEADLINE FOR WRITTEN COMMENTS

The public is invited to comment on the proposed easement.  Comments must be submitted to the Division of Mining, Land, and Water, Northern Region Office in written form no later than 5:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2025, in order to ensure consideration.
