Utilities Mechanical Term Contractor Pool

The University of Alaska Fairbanks, hereinafter called “University”, is requesting proposals from contractors for Construction Services for the Utilities Mechanical Term Contractor Pool project located on the University Campus, Fairbanks, Alaska.
Work consists of, but is not limited to providing general mechanical and boilermaker maintenance and repairs at UAF’s Power Plant facilities and utilidor infrastructure. Contracts will be awarded to create a pool of up to three (3) service term contractors to perform general pipefitting, mechanical, chiller, and boilermaker services of a reoccurring nature with delivery, scheduled and quantities indefinite. Total annual contract amounts shall not exceed $300,000 with each individual service not exceeding $100,000 and no guarantee of a contract minimum. Initial term will be from date of award through December 31, 2022 and four (4) one year options to renew through December 31, 2026.
Selection Process and Basis for Award: Proposals will be evaluated based on Past Performance and Price Proposals. Only Offerors meeting the minimum requirements outlined in Section C – Evaluation Criteria and Scoring will be considered during evaluation of Price Proposals. UAF intends to award three (3) contracts to the responsive, responsible Offeror whose Proposal, conforming to the RFP requirements, receives the highest total number of evaluation points, price and other factors considered.

RFP documents may also be viewed by appointment only at the office of Division of Design and Construction, University of Alaska, 1850 Tanana Loop, Lola Tilly Building, UAF Campus, Fairbanks, Alaska.
Offerors must register through the website to be notified of addenda. The Offeror is responsible for periodically checking the site for addenda or additional information for the project.

RFP Inquiries: Inquiries and questions relating to this RFP shall be submitted through the Bid Express website, no later than ten (10) days prior to the deadline for Proposal submission.
Pre-Proposal Conference: A Pre-Proposal Conference will not be held.
Deadline for Submission of Proposals: The University must receive Proposals no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2022 to be considered.
Submission of Proposals: Proposals must be submitted electronically on the Bid Express website as specified in the Instructions to Offerors. Offerors must create a profile with Bid Express in order to submit a Proposal. Proposals will only be accepted up to the deadline for submission of Proposals.
