ITB TITLE: Salmon Purchase Food Security Project
SEALED BIDS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE ABOVE ADDRESS AND MUST BE TIME AND DATE STAMPED BY THE PURCHASING SECTION PRIOR TO 2PM, STANDARD ALASKA TIME, APRIL 7, 2022, AT WHICH TIME THEY WILL BE PUBLICLY OPENED.
In response to Covid-19 exacerbated economic consequences and the salmon fishery collapse on the Yukon River. ADFG is purchasing approximately 60,000 pounds of food grade frozen Keta/Kotz Keta Salmon to provide food assistance to the Yukon River communities. This food shipment will provide the communities with a traditional food source to subsidize their natural harvest loss due to the fishery collapse.
