Brief Description: The Big Game Commercial Services Board proposes to update regulations relating to supervision requirements for registered guide-outfitter, participation in a hunt, ethics standards for guides, and hunting experience requirements.
The Big Game Commercial Services Board (Board) proposes to adopt regulation changes in Title 12, Chapter 75 of the Alaska Administrative Code including the following:
- 12 AAC 75.240. Supervision, is proposed to amend the hunt supervision requirements for contracting registered guide-outfitter.
- 12 AAC 75.250. Participation in a hunt, is proposed to amend the requirements for a registered guide-outfitter who contracts to guide a hunt and who is participating in a hunt.
- 12 AAC 75.340. Professional ethics standards for guides, is proposed to update the ethics standards requirements for guides.
- 12 AAC 75.920. Hunting, guiding, and practical experience, is proposed to amend the provisions related to hunting experience requirements.

The comments must be received not later than 4:30 p.m. on April 18, 2022. Comments received after this deadline will not be considered by the Board.
Oral comments relevant to the proposed regulations, including the potential costs to private persons of complying with the proposed changes, may also be given at a hearing to be held on March 30, 2022, at The Megan Room, 6591 A Street, Anchorage, Alaska, or via zoom/video and teleconference. You may participate via zoom/video meeting by entering Zoom Meeting Call-In # 669-900-6833 Meeting ID 858 5516 3605 Password 908162, or via teleconference by calling 669-900-6833 and enter the Meeting ID and Access Code noted above. The hearing will begin at 3:00 p.m. and will end when those who have signed up before 3:00 p.m. to give oral testimony have had the opportunity to comment. The chair of the Board may limit each participant’s length of oral testimony to a time limit, determined by the chair before the hearing begins, to allow enough time for all those present and timely registered to give testimony.
