    The Alaska Judicial Council will hold a public hearing via teleconference on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 11:45 a.m. to receive comments about the applicants for the Ketchikan Superior Court judicial vacancy. The teleconference number is 1-800-768-2983 with access code 3309677#.

    The applicants applying for the Ketchikan Superior Court vacancy are: Daniel Doty, Kristian B. Pickrell, and Amanda M. Schulz. The Council will meet on January 31, 2022 to interview and nominate the most qualified applicants for the vacancy, and to discuss administrative matters. The Ketchikan Superior Court position is due to the forthcoming retirement of Judge William B. Carey.

    The Alaska Judicial Council’s mission is to screen and nominate judicial applicants; evaluate the performance of judges and make evaluation information and recommendations available to the voters; and conduct studies and make recommendations to improve the administration of justice.
