The Department of Health and Social Services (department) has received an application for a certificate of need for the health care facility project described below.
Project/Activity: Construction of Skilled Nursing Facility.
Aspen Creek Management, LLC proposes a 150-bed skilled nursing facility, Aspen Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation, to provide sub-acute care, post-acute care, transitional care, and long-term care. The proposed facility will be adjacent to their existing 120-bed assisted living facility, which is located at 5915 Petersburg Street, Anchorage, Alaska.
The proposed skilled nursing facility will be 87,995 square feet and the total project cost will be $48,130,508. Project completion date is estimated to be June 2025.

In accordance with 7 AAC 07.042, notice is hereby given that any person planning to submit a certificate of need application for a similar activity in the same proposed service area must submit a letter of intent to the department no later than 4:30 PM, Monday, February 7, 2022, so that the department may prepare to conduct a concurrent review of all applications.
The letter of intent must include:

A clear, complete, and current description of the proposed activity, including a description of each component of the activity proposed to be undertaken,

An estimate of the total cost of the project; and
-
An estimated starting date and completion date for the proposed activity.
To be reviewed concurrently, an application for a certificate of need for a similar service must be submitted within 60 days after the initial application for a service is declared complete. As soon as the initial application is declared complete, public notice will be issued and will include information on opportunities for public comment and how a copy of each certificate of need application may be reviewed.
