Proposed tideland conveyance to City of Edna Bay ADL 109138

PUBLIC NOTICE

Requesting Input for a Proposed Tideland Conveyance:

Tideland Conveyance ADL 109138AS 38.05.035(e), AS 38.05.825

Comment Period Ends 5:00 PM, TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2022

 

This proposed project includes offering one parcel of State-owned tide and submerged land to the City of Edna Bay, pursuant to Alaska Statute (AS) 38.05.825 Conveyance of Tide and Submerged Land to Municipalities. The parcel is located within Edna Bay and encompasses the existing small boat harbor.

 

Location: Located within DNR’s Southeast Region, the parcel is located on tide and submerged lands within Edna Bay including Alaska Tideland Survey No. 1309, according to the survey plat filed in the Ketchikan Recording District on July 29, 1986, as Plat 86-54. The parcel also includes lands beginning at corner number 4 of Alaska Tideland Survey No. 1309; thence S 60°00’00”E, 449.94 feet along the south line of Alaska Tideland Survey 1309 to corner number 3 of said survey; thence S 30°00’00”W, 250.00 feet; thence N 60°00’00”W, 525.00 feet; thence N 30°00’00”E, 400.00 feet; thence S 60°00’00”E, 75.06 feet to the west line of Alaska Tideland Survey 1309; thence following said west line S 30°00’00”W, 150.00 feet to the point of beginning, aggregating approximately 8.8 acres, more or less.

 

Proposed Offering: Approximately 8.8 acres, final acreage will be determined by completing survey requirements.

Pursuant to AS 38.05.945 Notice, the public is invited to submit comment on the Preliminary Decision for which notice is being conducted concurrently. The deadline for public comment is 5:00 PM, TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2022. Only persons from whom DNR DMLW LCS receives timely, written comment during the identified comment period will be eligible to file an appeal of the Final Finding and Decision. If no significant change is required, the Preliminary Decision including any minor changes and a summary of comments and responses, will be issued as the Final Finding and Decision without further notice.
