NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

RFP No. 25222036 – Hermon Rd Extension and Upgrade:
Parks Hwy to Palmer-Wasilla Hwy (MSB) Design Services

The Contractor shall provide professional design services to upgrade the existing portion of Hermon Rd and extend Hermon Rd north to the Palmer-Wasilla Highway and add travel and turn lanes, shoulders, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, drainage, safety, and roadside hardware features. Services are anticipated to include the following: Environmental Activities, Survey, Hydrologic and Hydraulic Design, Traffic and Safety Analysis, Design Study Report, Public Involvement, Plans Specifications and Engineer’s Estimate, Assistance During Bidding, Assistance with Design Project Closeout, and Assistance During Construction. 

A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package.  Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is approximately March 2022 to October 2026.  Cost of these professional services is expected to be $1,000,000 or greater. 

The Request for Proposals (RFP) Package will be available December 10, 2021 and may be obtained in person from the DOT&PF plans room at 4111 Aviation Avenue in Anchorage, AK. Persons residing outside the Municipality may obtain an RFP Package through the mail by telephoning (907) 269-0408. 

Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms.  Submittals must be received no later than January 10, 2022, prior to 4:00 p.m. prevailing time. 

Individuals with disabilities, including the hearing impaired, who may need auxiliary aids, services, and/or special modifications to submit a proposal should contact the TTD number: (907) 269-0473, no later than one week prior to the submittal date to make any necessary arrangements.
