East College Road Resurfacing Project

Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is soliciting comments on the proposed East College Road Resurfacing project. DOT&PF plans to resurface College Road between the Margaret/Antoinette and Old Steese Highway intersections including College Road/Johansen Expressway Interchange on and off ramps. Project work will include ADA and drainage improvements, removal and replacement of damaged curb and gutter, replacing signs, resurfacing, and utility work. All proposed work is expected to take place within the existing right-of-way (ROW).
The project construction is scheduled for Spring 2023
This proposed project complies with the following Executive Orders (EO):

EO 11593, Protection and Enhancement of the Cultural Environment
EO 13112, Invasive Species

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by DOT&PF pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated November 3, 2017 and executed by FHWA and DOT&PF.
