Public Hearing and Meeting for the
Palmer District Court Judicial Vacancy

The Alaska Judicial Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday August 24, 2021, at noon to receive comments about the applicants for the Palmer District Court judicial vacancy. Members of the public are
invited to participate via Zoom in one of two ways:

The applicants applying for the Palmer District Court vacancy are:  Krista Anderson, Amanda L. Browning, Lindsey M. Burton, Anna Cometa, Craig S. Condie, Aaron J. Michels, Trina Sears, and Glenn James Shidner.

The Council will meet on August 24-25, 2021 to interview and nominate the most qualified applicants for the vacancy, and to discuss administrative matters. The Palmer District Court position is due to the retirement of Judge William L. Estelle.

The Alaska Judicial Council’s mission is to screen and nominate judicial applicants; evaluate the performance of judges and make evaluation information and recommendations available to the voters; and conduct studies and make recommendations to improve the administration of justice.
