Seawater Treatment Plant
The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) has made a preliminary decision to approve Oil Search (Alaska), LLC application for Air Quality Control Minor Permit AQ1651MSS01 for the Seawater Treatment Plant.
Applicant: Oil Search (Alaska), LLC, P.O. Box 240927, Anchorage, AK 99524
Location: Northing: 7,825 km; Easting: 393 km; Zone: 6
Activity: Oil Search (Alaska), LLC applied for a minor permit under 18 AAC 50.502(c)(1) for a new or relocated stationary source and under 18 AAC 50.508(5) to establish Owner Requested Limits for avoiding minor permitting for PM-2.5 and PSD permitting for CO and VOC.
Emissions: Potential emissions for the stationary source will be 110 tpy for NOx, 246.7 tpy for CO, 71.6 tpy for VOC, 9.8 tpy for PM-10, 9.8 tpy for PM-2.5, and 90.1 tpy for SO2.
ADEC Preliminary Review: Based on review of the application, ADEC drafted a preliminary permit decision for this project under AS 46.14 and 18 AAC 50.

Opportunity for Public Participation: Any interested person may present written statements relevant to the preliminary decision within 30 days after the first publication date. ADEC will consider all comments received and make any changes ADEC finds beneficial or necessary to assure compliance with 18 AAC 50 or state law. ADEC will issue a final decision to issue or deny the permit after the close of the public comment period
