The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities invites you to participate in an interactive public open house meeting to share your thoughts on development scenarios for the airport.

The Department is updating the Airport Master Plan that will shape future development at Merle K. “Mudhole” Smith Airport. Topics will include:

• Master planning process and objectives of the study

• Preliminary airport alternatives for the airfield, general aviation, and commercial aviation facilities

• Next steps

• Answer questions about the planning process

All residents, members of the business community, civic organizations, airport tenants, and users are encouraged to participate and provide suggestions and ideas in support of this important study. Comments provided by the public during this open house will be incorporated into the master plan documentation.
