Notice of Public Notice State of Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation Petro 49 Inc, Douglas Terminal

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) proposes to issue an Owner Requested Limit approval (ORL) AQ0057ORL01 to Petro 49, Inc. for the Douglas Terminal under Alaska Statute 46.14 and regulation 18 AAC 50.

Applicant:    Petro 49, Inc, 1813 East 1st Ave. Anchorage, AK 99501

Location:     58° 17.930’ N; 134° 26.189’ W

Activity:       Establish ORL for controlling VOC emissions. This public notice is for the draft ORL only.

Emissions:   The potential to emit at the stationary source will not exceed 6.2 tpy of VOC for some emissions units by limiting the gasoline throughput. This limit will also keep other regulated air pollutants below the Title V permitting thresholds listed in 18 AAC 50.326.

ADEC Preliminary Review: Based on review of the application, ADEC has made a preliminary decision to approve the ORL for the Juneau Bulk Plant.

Opportunity for Public Participation: Any interested person may present written statements relevant to the preliminary decision within 30 days after the first publication date. ADEC will consider all comments received and make any changes ADEC finds beneficial or necessary to assure compliance with 18 AAC 50 or state law. ADEC will issue a final decision to issue or deny the permit after the close of the public comment period.
