On February 3, 2021, the Board of Nursing adopted regulation changes in Title 12, Chapter 44 of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulations concern tests of English language proficiency for graduates of foreign nursing education programs or certified nurse aide (CNA) training programs, for purposes of licensure or certification, and also address the collection of annual test data for CNA training programs.
The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Lieutenant Governor (or designee) on March 15, 2021, and will go into effect on April 14, 2021. See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.
The new regulation changes will be printed in Register 238, July 2021 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
