RFP: 2501000086 - AVTEC Cafeteria Renovations

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Sealed Proposals for AVTEC Cafeteria Renovations, Program Number 2501000086, will be received before 4:00 p.m., February 25, 2021 at the office of the Chief of Contracts, 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska.

This state funded project includes the renovation of the AVTEC cafeteria in Seward, Alaska.  Two (2) owner desired enhancements that the contractor may choose to include in their proposal and bid price are described in the contract documents and include an alternate floor finish and installation of new windows.

The Engineer's Estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Project substantial completion date will be July 31, 2021.

A non-mandatory work site visit has been scheduled during the advertising period on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 1:00 pm.  Proposers interested in attending the site visit need to preregister with David Hepler at 269-0815 or david.hepler@alaska.gov.  Meet in the entrance of the Cafeteria at 518 Third Avenue, Seward, Alaska to be escorted through the work areas.  In an effort to prevent the further spread of COVID-19, bidders shall bring and wear face coverings and maintain social distancing.

Proposal documents along with other additional information pertaining to the project may now be downloaded in their entirety at no charge from the Department’s approved online bidding service: https://www.bidx.com/ak/lettings. From the DOT&PF website: http://dot.alaska.gov/procurement/awp/awp-bids.cfm?rc=CR your company must self-register by clicking on the Plan Holders link, or register with the Central Region Plans Room, or your bid may not be accepted.

Proposal documents may also be purchased for $50.00 per set, payable to the State of Alaska, from the Central Region Plans Room, 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska before 4:30 p.m. (907) 269-0408.

Individuals with disabilities, including the hearing impaired, who may need auxiliary aids, services, and/or special modifications to submit a bid/proposal should contact the TTD number: (907) 269-0473, no later than one week prior to the submittal date to make any necessary arrangements.
