The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities proposes to adopt regulation changes in Title 17, Chapter 45 Rural Airports, Rents and Fees of the of the Alaska Administrative Code (17 AAC 45.127), dealing with abatement of rural airport lease, rent, and fee increases, including the following:

            to delay the annual increases of rural airport lease, rental, and fee
            increases as provided for in regulation.

You may comment on the proposed regulation changes, including the potential costs to private persons of complying with the proposed changes, by submitting written comments to Rich Sewell, Aviation Policy Planner, in the Division of Statewide Aviation, PO Box 196900, Anchorage Alaska 99519. Additionally, Statewide Aviation will accept comments by facsimile at 907-269-0489 and by electronic mail at StatewideAviation@alaska.gov   The comments must be received not later than 5:00 p.m. AKST on March 1, 2021.

You may submit written questions relevant to the proposed action to Rich Sewell by email to rich.sewell@alaska.gov or by mail at PO Box 196900, Anchorage, Alaska 99519. The questions must be received at least 10 days before the end of the public comment period. Statewide Aviation will aggregate its response to substantially similar questions and make the questions and responses available on the Alaska Online Public Notice System.

After the public comment period ends, the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities will either adopt the proposed regulation changes or other provisions dealing with the same subject, without further notice, or decide to take no action. The language of the final regulation may be different from that of the proposed regulation. You should comment during the time allowed if your interests could be affected. Written comments received are public records and are subject to public inspection.
