NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

JNU: Egan-Yandukin Intersection Improvements- Design Services     

RFP Number 25213019

The Department intends to enter into a negotiated agreement for professional services to provide plans, specifications and a project cost estimate for the design of permanent changeable message boards to indicate seasonal changeable speed limits along Egan Drive as well as improving the delineation of the Egan Yandukin Intersection.  Consultant will also prepare a design study report detailing the engineering decision processes made in the design and participate in a public meetings.

A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package.  Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is from February 15, 2021 to December 31, 2021. Cost of these professional services is expected to be in the range of $250,000-$500,000.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) Package will be available January 6, 2021 and may be obtained in person from the DOT&PF plans room at 6860 Glacier Highway, Juneau, AK  99801-7999. Persons residing outside the City & Borough of Juneau may obtain an RFP Package through the mail by telephoning (907) 465-4420. Walk-in and telephone service is available during the hours of 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms.  Submittals must be received no later than January 28, 2021, 4:00 PM prevailing time. Proposals may be submitted electronically, and must be sent to srdotpfcontracts@alaska.gov.  Please be advised that none of the courier services (Fed-EX, UPS, etc.) provide overnight service to or from Juneau.  Please allow at least 2 to 3 business days for receipt of expedited packages.

If you download a Request for Proposal (over $100,000) from this page, you must register with the respective regional plans room to be placed on the planholders list for that project and to receive subsequent addenda.    Every effort will be made by the Department to insure that Contractors receive all addenda when issued.  Addenda may be issued by any reasonable method such as mail, telefacsimile, express delivery service, and electronic posting to this website.  It is the Offeror’s responsibility to insure that he has received all addenda affecting the RFP.  No protest will be allowed based on the offeror’s allegation that he did not receive all the addenda for a RFP.
