NOTICE OF ADOPTED CHANGES IN THE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION
Regulations dealing with oil and other hazardous substance pollutions control and streamlined oil spill plans were adopted by the Department of Environmental Conservation on June 29, 2020, with an effective date of November 7, 2020. The regulations have been made permanent and have been filed by the Lt. Governor. The regulations will appear in Register 236, January 2021, of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulations changes are summarized as follows:
Allow noncrude oil tank vessels and barges that have a storage capacity less than 500 barrels to apply for and operate under a streamlined oil discharge prevention and contingency plan.
