Notice of Utility Tariff Filing

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Matanuska Electric Association, Inc. (MEA) filed TA525-18, requesting Commission approval of tariff changes to implement the Eklutna Power Purchase Agreement (Eklutna PPA), and Amendment No. 1, between MEA and the Municipality of Anchorage (MOA). 

With TA525-18, MEA proposes to add the Eklutna PPA to its tariff under its list of special contracts. MEA also proposes to add the purchased power costs as a new element to its Cost of Power Adjustment surcharge mechanism through which it can recover all costs associated with the Eklutna PPA.

Concurrent with this filing, the MOA has filed TA379-121 to request approval of the Eklutna PPA. MEA is not requesting approval of the Eklutna PPA with TA525-18.
