NOTICE OF CHANGES OF ADDRESS FOR THE VITAL RECORDS ISSUANCE OFFICE, PART OF THE SECTION OF HEALTH ANALYTICS AND VITAL RECORDS (HAVRS), WITHIN THE DIVISION OF PUBLIC HEALTH IN THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & SOCIAL SERVICES.

The Department of Health & Social Services is moving the office that provides certified copies of vital records from 3601 C Street, Suite 128, Anchorage Alaska to 3901 Old Seward Highway, Suite 101, Anchorage, AK 99503. The HAVRS issuance office will be collocated with Alaska’s Division of Motor Vehicles.

By collocating Anchorage Health Analytics and Vital Records issuance office within the Division of Motor Vehicle’s new facility at the University Center in Anchorage, we expect the following improvements.

• Collocating the two services will provide Alaskans a one-stop shop to receive their RealID. Collocation allows Alaskans to more efficiently and easily acquire the RealID compliant ID from DMV by having birth certificates and other vital records services available in the same building.

• HAVRS will realize cost savings in leasing.

• HAVRS customers will benefit from using DMV’s state of the art queueing system.

• New space will allow for greater spacing between customers and safer flow of customer traffic.

The new address will be effective September 28 of 2020.

NOTE: Appointments will be required for an in-person HAVRS visit after September 28, 2020 until further notice. Just as DMV has augmented their operations by requiring appointments to comply with COVID-19 social distancing recommendations, HAVRS will also require an appointment to visit the new office in person.
