Unusual Occurrence Report (UOR) Tool

RFP NUMBER 210000025

The Alaska Psychiatric Institute (API) is soliciting proposals for an electronic unusual event reporting tool. The tool will help reduce redundancies in API’s current system by bringing the reporting of medication errors, escalating patient behaviors, patient complaints/grievances into one reporting system.

In order for offers to be considered responsive offerors must meet and provide evidence of these minimum prior experience requirements:

The offeror must have two (2) years in the last five (5) years of experience constructing UOR tools for Healthcare providers.

Reporting system must have at least five (5) years of experience in the past ten (10) years utilized by other healthcare facilities. Link medical records to the reporting system. Each incident must be emailed to the incident preparer

In offeror's failure to meet these minimum prior experience requirements may cause their proposal to be considered non-responsive and their proposal may be rejected.

RFP Schedule

The RFP schedule set out herein represents the State of Alaska’s best estimate of the schedule that will be followed. If a component of this schedule, such as the deadline for receipt of proposals, is delayed, the rest of the schedule may be shifted by the same number of days.

• Issue RFP August 28^th, 2020
• Questions deadline October 2^nd, 2020, 2pm prevailing Alaskan time,
• Deadline for Receipt of Proposals October 13^th, 2020 by 2PM prevailing Alaskan time,
• Proposal Evaluation Committee complete evaluation by October 15^th, 2020,
• State of Alaska issues Notice of Intent to Award a Contract October  16^th, 2020,
• State of Alaska issues contract October 27^th, 2020,
• Contract start November 1^st, 2020.

This RFP does not, by itself, obligate the state. The state's obligation will commence when the contract is approved by the Commissioner of the Department of Health and Social Services, or the Commissioner's designee. Upon written notice to the contractor, the state may set a different starting date for the contract. The state will not be responsible for any work done by the contractor, even work done in good faith, if it occurs prior to the contract start date set by the state.
