Request for Information/Letters of Interest – Fairbanks Store Front Office Space

The Department of Administration, Shared Services of Alaska is requesting information on available store front office space for the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs.
On behalf of the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs and the Alaska Army National Guard (AKARNG), the State of Alaska (State) is seeking letters of interest from contractors, developers, or lessors, interested in providing approximately 900 -1,000 square feet of store front office space located in a place of concentrated commercial activity for the AKARNG recruiting office.
In support of the Alaska Army National Guard’s mission, the recruiting office must be positioned in a strategically advantageous location, which provides increased brand recognition and access to their target market of teenagers between the ages of sixteen and eighteen. The store front office space must be located near major shopping areas, schools, theaters, fitness centers and/or other businesses that attract young adults.
The store front office space must be in a high retail traffic area in Fairbanks, conveniently located within the boundary set forth in the attached Exhibit A.
The location must include the following items:
- Parking (must include ADA parking spaces)
- Restroom (must comply with ADA accessibility standards)
- Waiting area
- Conference room
- Private office(s)
- Storage/work area
The State will consider a long-term lease (approximately 2 years firm + optional renewals).
The State is considering all alternative space where economically advantageous. The State will use the information it receives in response to this advertisement as the basis to develop a cost/benefit analysis and to determine whether to compete this store front office space or take other appropriate action.
If you are interested in providing store front office space to the State in Fairbanks, Alaska, respond in writing no later than June 15, 2020. Responses must indicate compliance with the items below and include a name, contact information, and building location/address:
- Size of proposed building
- Location of building
- Number of parking spaces available (to accommodate employees and visitors)
- Estimated date building could be ready for State occupancy
This RFI does not obligate the State to issue an RFP, award a contract or pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a response to this RFI. Do not submit price/costs with your response, a Notice of Award for space will not be made as a direct result of this RFI. Contact information will be kept on file for any future related Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitations under AS 36.30, Alaska State Procurement Code.
