Development and Delivery of Training for Alaskan AmeriCorps Programs

The Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development, Division of Administrative Services on the behalf of Serve Alaska is seeking a qualified Alaskan vendors to assist with the development, delivery, and evaluation of curriculum for three days of training and workshops to prepare interested public, non-profit, or faith-based organizations how to apply for and run an AmeriCorps program within Alaska. This training shall include one-on-one granting consultation to existing grantees and potential grantees. Serve Alaska currently only funds one sub-grantee at a competitive level and to expand AmeriCorps programming in Alaska more sub-grantees will need to be funded at the competitive level.

To provide this training we are seeking a vendor with the following qualifications:

• Five or more years of experience designing and teaching curriculum related to finding grants, writing grants, logic models, managing grants, and setting up systems to start grants;

• Three or more years of experience working to support AmeriCorps with an in-depth knowledge of how the program operates;

• Two or more years of experience writing grants for AmeriCorps funding;

• Familiarity with the CNCS requirements;

• Familiarity with State of Alaska statutes and regulations for Serve Alaska sub-grantees.
