NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF EMERGENCY REGULATIONS OF BOARD OF MARITAL AND FAMILY THERAPY

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The Board of Marital and Family Therapy adopted emergency regulations regarding notarized signatures.

On May 4, 2020, the Board of Marital and Family Therapy adopted, as emergency regulations, changes
in 12 AAC 19 of the Alaska Administrative Code dealing with notarized signatures and identification, including the following:

1. 12 AAC 19.110. License by examination, is proposed to be amended by removing the requirements for a notarized signature on an application, and allowing for two forms of government issued identification in lieu of the notarized signature.

2. 12 AAC 19.115. Licensure by credentials, is proposed to be amended by removing the requirement for a notarized signature on an application, and allowing for two forms of government issued identification in lieu of the notarized signature.

3. 12 AAC 19.200. License for supervised practice, is proposed to be amended by removing the requirement for a notarized signature on an application, and allowing for two forms of government
issued identification in lieu of the notarized signature.

4. 12 AAC 19.210. Approved supervisors, is proposed to be amended by removing the requirement
for a notarized signature on an application, and allowing for two forms of government issued identification in lieu of the notarized signature.

The emergency regulation took effect May 8, 2020, and will expire September 4, 2020, if not made permanent. The Board of Marital and Family Therapy does not intend to make the emergency
regulations permanent.
