Windy Corner MP 105-107 Seward Highway Realignment
Proposed Commissioner’s Finding

PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD EXTENDED THROUGH APRIL 27, 2020

Subject to Sections 5-7, Article 2, Chapter 116, Session Laws of Alaska 2000, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), in order to facilitate the Windy Corner MP 105-107 Seward Highway Realignment has issued a Proposed Commissioner’s Finding to authorize the following activities through Chugach State Park:

• Grant of a highway easement to the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADL 232839)
• Convey a property interest to the Alaska Railroad Corporation (ARRC) (ADL 232892)
• Authorize use of materials for this project
• Closure of a section line easement (ADL 233527)
• Acceptance of relinquished right-of-way from ARRC (OSL 1632)
• Authorize construction of park facilities.

The public is invited to review and comment on this Proposed Commissioner’s Finding. A copy of the finding is attached to this online notice and is available from http://notice.alaska.gov/ or  upon request. Additional information can be found on the project website at: http://www.windycorner.info/.

The public comment period has been extended through April 27, 2020.

When commenting, please reference the applicable file number as noted in the bullet list above. To be eligible to request reconsideration of a final Commissioner’s Finding on this matter, a person must have submitted comments during this public comment period.
