Sealed bids, in single copy, for Auke Bay Integrated Science Building (Formerly Auke Bay Station, Phase II) will be received by the University of Alaska Southeast, Office of Facility Planning and Construction, 11066 Auke Lake Way, Juneau, Alaska, until 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 20, 2020 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids by FAX will not be accepted.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Construct a new two-story, 11,200 sq.ft. classroom, office, and laboratory building at 11305 Glacier Highway, Juneau Alaska. The Work includes a steel-framed structure with an exterior-insulated building envelope; windows are aluminum curtainwall and storefront. The building is designed to maximize energy efficiency, and will be heated and cooled by a heat pump system drawing from the seawater outfall of the adjacent Anderson marine laboratory building. The Work includes upgrades to the Anderson seawater system. Sitework includes a drive and parking area for 12 vehicles, and accessible access at grade for both stories between the new building and the Anderson building.

A PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at 10:00 AM in room 204 of the Anderson Building, University of Alaska Southeast, 11275 Glacier Highway, in Juneau, Alaska. All interested bidders are invited but not required to attend.
Bid security is required with each bid. State law requires a bid to be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder after a five percent (5%) Alaska Bidder preference and Alaska Product Preferences have been applied. See the Instructions for Bidders.
