Letter of Interest for Medication Assisted Treatment Services

The Department of Corrections is seeking interest from qualified State of Alaska Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) providers to provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) Services to incarcerated inmates at the Anchorage Correctional Complex in Anchorage (ACC), Goose Creek Correctional Center in Wasilla (GCCC), Hiland Mountain Correctional Center in Eagle River (HMCC), and the Mat-Su Pretrial facility in Palmer (MSPT), Alaska under one of the following scenarios.

Scenario #1: Provider can perform all opioid treatment services in the areas listed to include bridging or tapering of methadone or buprenorphine in detainees for up to 30 days. Detainees must have been prescribed methadone or buprenorphine prior to being incarcerated and are prescribed for the treatment of an opiate use disorder, not for pain.

Scenario #2: Provider can perform services listed in scenario #1 but select only the locations they are interested in servicing. This can include more than one location but if some locations are outside of the servicing area of the provider, then you can choose only to service the locations within the geographic areas you wish to serve.

This letter is not an offer or guarantee that the department will contract with any individual or firm. This letter is for the purpose of seeking notice of interest from vendors who may be interested in providing a proposal for these services.
